About the Position

Occupational Medicine Physician – Amarillo, TX

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Physician for a full-time Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care assignment in Amarillo, Texas .

This is a consistent Monday–Friday, 8A–5P outpatient opportunity combining occupational medicine, work-related injury care, physical examinations, and walk-in urgent care. The role is well suited for a physician who enjoys procedural outpatient medicine, employer-facing care, and a predictable weekday schedule.

Clinical Scope

Provide hands-on outpatient care across occupational medicine and urgent care, including:

• Diagnose and treat work-related injuries
• Evaluate and treat walk-in urgent care patients
• Perform appropriate in-office procedures
• Conduct pre-placement physical examinations
• Perform DOT physicals
• Conduct public safety and medical surveillance examinations
• Communicate with employers regarding occupational health needs
• Provide appropriate medical guidance related to employee care
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and promptly

Schedule

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–5:00 PM

A consistent weekday schedule with no weekend hours identified in the current coverage request.

Requirements

• Physician qualified to practice in Texas
• DOT Medical Examiner certification required
• Physicians who are not currently DOT certified must be willing and able to obtain certification
• Comfortable treating both occupational medicine and walk-in urgent care patients
• Comfortable performing outpatient procedures and occupational physicals
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Travel

Travel reimbursement is available for physicians who are not local to Amarillo , expanding this opportunity beyond the immediate market.
