What You'll Do:

• Assist drivers with loading and unloading deliveriescarefully and accurately handling food products and supplies.
• Operate equipment like pallet jacks, U-boats, and lift gates to safely move items.
• Help make smooth, on-time deliveries to schools and residential facilitiessometimes involving stairs and tight spaces.
• Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) and alert your supervisor to any damaged or expired items.
• Keep delivery vehicles clean and ready, supporting daily vehicle inspections.
• Communicate clearly with your team to ensure seamless coordination throughout the day.
• Handle documentation and receipts for every delivery.
• Follow all safety protocols and company guidelinesespecially important when delivering in school and residential settings.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physically able to lift and move up to 50 lbs, with the stamina to climb stairs and stay active throughout the shift.
• Experience with pallet jacks and delivery tools a plus.
• Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Must complete required training.

Pay rate: $15.00/hr

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must complete all Whitsons and government required training as necessary

Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

• Must be able to be physically fit to complete essential demands of the job.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Able to handle heavy loads up and down stairs.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Sit, walk, talk, and hear
• Use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
• Handle heavy loads of product on hand trucks, motorized pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and U-boats.
• Safely maneuver equipment up and down stairs and off and on trucks (essential).
• Drive/move pallet jacks (electric and mechanical) for a majority of the workday.
• Remain standing on feet part of the workday in addition to walking back and forth.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Lifting while turning side to side is sometimes necessary.
• Ability to use electric lift-gates on trucks with attention to safety.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-state travel. Deliveries are made to schools where maintaining children's safety is imperative.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Also in schools, specifically the packing and warehousing areas while loading and unloading vehicle and making deliveries around children. Caution must be exercised maneuvering equipment up and down school staircases.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
