Process Development Senior Scientist

This process development role focuses on advancing solid-phase peptide synthesis technologies across development and commercial manufacturing stages. The position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to scale synthetic processes, optimize purification and characterization methods, and support regulatory submissions. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in peptide synthesis industrialization and strong scientific innovation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable synthetic processes for therapeutic peptides using solid phase peptide synthesis
• Drive innovation in peptide purification, isolation, and characterization technologies
• Support cGMP manufacturing and technology transfer to contract manufacturers
• Ensure process performance through understanding, modeling, and characterization activities
• Contribute regulatory documentation and support regulatory filings across drug development stages

Requirements

• Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering; or Master's degree with 3 years scientific experience; or Bachelor's degree with 5 years scientific experience
• Extensive hands-on expertise in solid phase peptide synthesis and purification techniques
• Experience scaling and transferring peptide synthesis processes to GMP manufacturing
• Proficiency with analytical characterization techniques including HIC-HPLC, SEC, LC-MS, IEX, and RP-HPLC
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic, interdisciplinary environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage complex projects
