JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Urology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Saranac Lake, New York Coverage Period: Sep 01, 2026 - Ongoing (Potential for Extension & Future Dates) Schedule Availability: Full-Time or Part-Time Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, mix of Office/Clinic, OR, and Cystoscopy days On-Call Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, minimal callbacks Weekends: Off; no weekend call Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered COVERAGE 3 days Clinic/Office: 8:30 AM-4:30 PM 1 day OR: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM 1 day Cystoscopy: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 15-25 Patients Daily Case Mix: General urology, endourology, robotics Rounding: Performed by PAs under supervision FACILITY INFORMATION Support Staff Available: 3 PAs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: Expedited (timeline to be confirmed) REQUIRED PROCEDURES OR procedures Endourology/Robotics General urology procedures (bread & butter) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide outpatient urology consultations and follow-up in clinic (3 days/week). Perform surgical procedures in the OR, including endourology and robotics (1 day/week). Perform cystoscopy procedures (1 day/week). Supervise and oversee 3 PAs who handle rounding, admits, discharges, and office visits. Participate in minimal call coverage Monday-Thursday.
