Assess patients across the entire spectrum of age groups utilizing both standardized assessments and hands-on observations.

Create individualized treatment plans that focus on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.

Deliver customized speech therapy interventions geared towards communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.

Work in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care strategies.

Provide education and guidance to patients and families to ensure therapy progress continues outside the therapy sessions.

Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to promote an uninterrupted patient care experience.

Maintain precise and timely documentation following state, federal, and organizational standards.

Keep informed of advancements in the field through regular professional development and peer interactions.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.

State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.

Strong proficiency in applying evidence-based treatment methods for individuals across all age groups with significant knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when engaging with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Ability to tailor therapy approaches to effectively meet a diverse range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Solid clinical judgment paired with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
