Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry License: Michigan RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Required to float units Description: Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission. Monitor patient condition trends throughout their hospital stay. Prepare, administer, and chart prescribed medications, including IVs. Manage wound care and specialized equipment. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams. Develop and execute individualized care plans for patients. Instruct patients and families on post-surgery care and medication schedules. Provide post-discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care. Recognize early signs of medical deterioration. Take swift action to stabilize patients before emergencies occur. Be available to float to other units as required. Work every other weekend as scheduled.
