Role Description The Junior Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA, supporting the preparation of accurate and timely estimates for interior demolition. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project plans and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, and assisting in the development of detailed cost proposals. The role involves coordinating with project managers and senior estimators to clarify scope, assess site conditions, and track bid status and pricing data. The Junior Estimator also helps maintain estimating records, updates cost databases, and supports continuous improvement of estimating processes. This position requires regular communication with internal teams and external partners to ensure bids are competitive, aligned with safety standards, and consistent with company quality expectations. Qualifications Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in quantity take-offs. Basic estimating and analytical skills, including quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns. Basic knowledge of construction and demolition methods, materials, and equipment; familiarity with interior demolition and/or concrete cutting is beneficial but not required. Comfort with estimating or construction-related software such as PlanSwift, spreadsheets, and databases; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills. Strong numerical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to compare bids, evaluate costs, and identify potential risks or inconsistencies. Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors, and to prepare clear estimate documentation. Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA, collaborate in a team environment, and manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
