Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in Labor & Delivery, including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk pregnancies
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring across antepartum, labor, and triage settings
• Manage patients across antepartum rooms, labor/high-risk rooms, and triage as assigned
• Float to postpartum unit as needed, including couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Participate in newborn role in delivery room when applicable
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring or NCC EFM , ACLS (AHA) , BLS (AHA) , NRP , and FHM
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and fetal heart monitoring
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at an alternate rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience performing newborn care and couplet care (maternal and newborn)
• Comfort floating to postpartum and performing in a high-acuity, high-risk perinatal environment
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
