Solutions Architect

Overview BCMC is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber‑attacks, delivering immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. We are seeking a Solutions Architect to support this critical customer mission. Responsibilities Lead the end‑to‑end mapping of new technology identification, requirements development, and workflows across all CISA Threat Hunt. Identify and document inputs, outputs, and dependencies for each phase of new technology insertion. Develop visual diagrams (process flows, swimlanes, dependency maps) to illustrate how proposed changes impact each section/branch. Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to validate workflows and uncover cross‑functional impacts. Deliver actionable visuals and documentation to support strategic planning, compliance, and operational readiness. Document current and define future‑state workflows and processes. Identify inputs, outputs, and key activities for each phase. Map dependencies between initiatives, systems, and teams. Develop end‑to‑end workflow diagrams. Create swimlane diagrams to show roles and handoffs. Validate diagrams and maps with stakeholders. Analyze impact on each subdivision/branch. Identify gaps and recommend process/system changes. Deliver final visuals and documentation to leadership. Required Skills and Clearances U.S. Citizenship Active TS/SCI clearance Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) Suitability 10+ years of direct relevant experience in systems engineering and architecture development Knowledge in various IT fields that include but are not limited to systems and networking engineering, technical analytics, threat hunt incident response/ hunt deployment tools, cloud technologies, and databases. Experience with and technical understanding of cybersecurity attack‑mitigation techniques and cybersecurity architectures Desired Skills Experience and/or familiarity with architectural views including operational, technical standards, and system/services views and business, data, applications, and technology architectures using applicable standards (e.g., DODAF, FEAF). Experience and/or familiarity with software and system lifecycle methodologies, (e.g. ISO, CMMI, ITIL, Agile, SAFe). Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS preferred). Experience and/or familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security and privacy controls (NIST 800‑37 and NIST 800‑53). DHS experience. Education BS in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or related degree. Masters degree preferred.
