Registered Nurse - Observation

Registered Nurse Opportunity

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide compassionate patient care primarily on an Observation unit, with the flexibility to float to other Med-Surg and specialized units, including the Emergency Department. This role requires clinical excellence, adaptability, and proficiency with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Observation unit and other Med-Surg areas.
• Float between units such as Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and potentially the ED based on staffing needs and skill set.
• Assess, monitor, and interpret telemetry and BCRA readings to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Adhere to established protocols, including EMR documentation and competency evaluations.
• Participate in on-call duties rarely, maintaining readiness for patient care needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Telemetry and Med-Surg nursing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Epic EMR, with ability to read telemetry and BCRA data accurately.
• Ability to pass competency testing on telemetry interpretation and EMR use on day one.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and multitasking skills.
• Flexibility to work day shifts (7p-7:30a) with every other weekend coverage.
