Contract Details:

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: As soon as possible
• Pay Rate: $70.00-$76.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night shift, 7 days on / 7 days off. Working hours 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Later in the year (July/August timeframe), will transition to day shift position to cover a pharmacist on FMLA through January 13, 2027.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary: This is a contract position at a children's hospital/Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total staff beds. The role involves inpatient pharmacy services and requires hospital experience with at least some exposure to pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services in a pediatric hospital setting
• Manage medication preparation, dispensing, and clinical consultation
• Support clinical teams across hospital units

Education Requirements:

• PharmD / RPh License (Texas) required
• Hospital experience required; at least some exposure to pediatrics required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• Every other weekend required
• Block schedules required
• No floating between units
• No on-call required
• 48-hour shifts not approved
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces; bike racks available

Important Notes:

• Hospital experience is mandatory. Candidates with exclusively retail pharmacy experience will not be considered.
• Must have at least some exposure to pediatrics.
• Position will later transition (July/August) from night shift to day shift to cover a pharmacist on FMLA leave through January 13, 2027.
