Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, active Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Missouri required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience, preferably in outpatient orthopedics, post‑operative care, pain management, neurological, or sports medicine caseloads.
• Experience delivering one‑to‑one treatment sessions and meeting productivity expectations (approximately 80% patient care time per shift).
• Experience working in multidisciplinary outpatient therapy settings that coordinate with occupational and speech therapy.
• Ability to follow facility dress code (black scrubs) and departmental policies regarding scheduling and patient care (no double booking).
• Ability to float to other locations as needed.
• Flu vaccination compliance required between November 1 and April 1; declinations or exceptions require client approval.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Prior experience treating adult outpatient orthopedic surgical and sports medicine patients.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 5x8 schedule with weekly guaranteed hours of 36.
• Primary unit: Outpatient physical therapy, 1:1 patient care.
• Productivity expectation: Approximately 80% patient care time each shift.
• Weekend hours as required by facility needs.
• Float to other locations as needed.

Support patient recovery in a 251‑bed acute care system’s outpatient therapy department that maintains high safety ratings. Provide evidence‑based PT interventions in one‑to‑one sessions without use of techs or double booking. Expect scheduled 30‑minute treatment sessions with flexibility to meet individual patient needs.
