Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated MS RN for 36- or 48-hour shifts in a Medical Surgical unit. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, floating to units of equal acuity, and maintaining compliance with travel and facility guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Float to equivalent units as needed, supporting the overall healthcare team.
• Complete mandatory modules during orientation, recording progress via transcripts.
• Maintain compliance with travel requirements, including fingerprinting and documentation submission within specified timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to coordinate care and updates.
• Adhere to patient ratio standards of 1:6 and work weekend shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license, with pending NM or Compact license accepted before start date.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience working in a Medical Surgical unit preferred.
• Ability to float within scope and support multiple units.
• Demonstrated capacity to adhere to strict safety and compliance standards.
• Willingness to comply with travel and internal policies, including RTO listing and travel clearance procedures.
