Tarantula Hill is growing. After building our brewery in Thousand Oaks, we’re excited to continue expanding with our newer ice cream shop in Westlake Village. We’re proud to bring the community fresh and delicious ice cream, along with a taste of our Thousand Oaks menu, including sandwiches, smoothies, and açaí bowls.

Position Summary
The Ice Cream Shop Team Member is a customer-facing role responsible for creating a welcoming guest experience while preparing and serving menu items, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily shop operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming experience
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and serve ice cream, sandwiches, smoothies, and açaí bowls
• Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle payments
• Restock ingredients, supplies, and packaging as needed
• Keep workstations, dining areas, and equipment clean and sanitized
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Work collaboratively with team members to keep service running smoothly
• Assist with opening, closing, and other daily shop duties

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Team player with a willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items
• Food service or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required

Food Handler Requirement
A valid California Food Handler Card is not required at the time of hire, but team members who are required to have one must obtain it within 30 days of hire and keep it current during employment. Under California law, employers may not condition employment on already having a card.
Schedule
Shifts are available during our business hours of 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, including weekends and holidays as needed.
