Job Summary

Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, part of Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH), is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across multiple care settings while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate patient respiratory status and outcomes
Develop, implement, and modify respiratory care plans as needed
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians
Monitor patient responses and communicate changes to medical and nursing staff
Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
Accept reassignment to other units as patient care needs require
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 Years of Respiratory Therapy Experience
Associate Degree Required
Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist License
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential
Current BLS Certification
Required Certifications
RRT
Illinois State License
BLS
NRP (Required for Memorial Hospital of Carbondale)
