Quality Assurance Technician

Position Summary Monitors and documents the adherence of the facility’s Good Manufacturing Practices and SOPs. Makes rounds through production and processing areas to verify Halperns’ GMPs. Assists and trains personnel. Completes daily assigned tasks. Essential Functions Verifies HACCP monitoring. Enters daily equipment verification for metal detection, scales, thermometers, and chemical dilution/strength. Maintains operational sanitation for the facility. Assures GMPs are implemented and followed by all employees. Performs group and individual training. Organizes and files related documents. Knowledge, Skills & Expertise Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -10 to 45°F for extended periods. Good written and oral communication skills. Effective time‑management to accomplish all day’s assigned tasks. Extremely thorough and detail‑oriented. Basic computer skills preferred. Food Science certification or related degree preferred. HACCP training or certification preferred. Safety training for warehouse machinery and PPE preferred. Food production or distribution experience required if no formal QA experience or training.
