Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services to students across multiple school sites throughout Monterey County for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time itinerant position serves students from PreK through 12th grade, helping them develop the fine motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills necessary for success in the educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Recommend classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and intervention strategies
• Travel between assigned school sites throughout Monterey County

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active California Occupational Therapy License
• NBCOT certification required
• School-based experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple campuses
