Maintenance Mechanic
24/7 manufacturing and packaging facility in Santa Fe Springs, CA
$43/hr. 2nd and 3rd shift openings.
MUST be open to working any shift (This isn't a rotating shift)
Seeking well rounded maintenance technicians experienced in

• Electrical
• Mechanical
• Welding
• preferably with experience in- plumbing systems, pressure boilers, silos, packaging equipment.

Duties
PM's and repairs on food grade production equipment, heating and cooling systems, ingredient handling systems, and plumbing systems; also office and plant facilities.
Start machines and equipment to test operation following repair. Record preventative maintenance tasks and work orders in timely manner.
Able to troubleshoot various areas in the plant, including Frozen Department, Dry Mix Department, Tower, Basement, Compressor Room, and Boiler Room through regular inspection and test procedures.
Maintain safe and efficient use of pneumatics, air compressors, air dryer operation, small tools, grinders, and welding equipment in performance of duties.
Complete work orders and responds to maintenance calls on the Production Floor in timely manner.
Help with proper inventory of spare parts and reports usage; suggests re-orders to Manager.
Sanitary welding on equipment and food processing piping.
Install/maintain electrical equipment/controls, circuits, and PLC
Troubleshooting identifying worn parts & rebuilding machine assemblies, pumps, meters, valves, valve actuators and other equipment.
Start up and operate production machinery and equipment. Respond in a timely manner to calls at the production lines and facility maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
Safe handling and use of various chemicals with strict adherence to hazardous communication and MSDS requirements.
Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs.
Support/Comply with GMP's, participate in TPM initiatives and follow all company policies and procedures.



Required Experience
3 or more years of related experience in a fast pace food or manufacturing plant.
2 years or more Technical School education preferred.
Strong motor controls and PLC skills.
Ability to train and work on various shifts.
Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical & electro - mechanical systems and practical knowledge of plant electrical/mechanical systems.
Strong working knowledge of automated conveyor systems.
Ability to analyze electro-mechanical devices, trouble shoot failures and implement repairs.
