Residential HVAC Installer
Ostrom | Roanoke, VA | Full-Time
Your work should be appreciated.
If you're a skilled installer who's tired of working for a company that doesn't value what you bring every day, let's talk. Ostrom is growing, and we're expanding our residential heating and air conditioning department. We're looking for an experienced HVAC Installer who takes pride in clean, code-compliant installs and wants a place where that pride is recognized. We don't send you out of town, we don't have 24/7 on-call, and we reward good work.
What You'll Do
- Install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork, to code and manufacturer specifications
- Remove and haul away existing equipment
- Set equipment, run line sets, and make electrical, refrigerant, and duct connections
- Start up and test new systems to confirm proper operation
- Protect every customer's home and leave every job site spotless
- Walk customers through their new system before you leave
- Guide and mentor apprentice installers on the job
- Follow all safety policies, OSHA standards, and EPA guidelines
What You Bring
- Residential HVAC installation experience
- EPA 608 certification
- Mechanical skill and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, and extreme heat and cold
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Why Ostrom
Ostrom has served the Roanoke Valley for decades across electrical, plumbing, heating, and air. We've built a strong, positive, employee-focused place to work, where you share in our success as we continue to grow.
- No out-of-town work and no 24/7 on-call
- Bonus program
- Advancement to Lead Installer through Ostrom University
- Full-time, year-round work
- Health insurance and a retirement plan
- Paid vacation and paid holidays
