Position: AI Platform Engineer

Contract Length: 6-month

Location: Remote

Rate: $95/hr on W2

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly experienced AI Platform Engineer with deep DevOps expertise to design, build, and operate enterprise AI and Generative AI platforms. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in platform engineering, automation, cloud technologies, machine learning operations, and large language model operations. This individual will enable scalable AI adoption across the enterprise while improving developer experience, governance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Develop continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TypeScript, Python, and Groovy.
• Build scalable AI, Generative AI, large language model operations, and machine learning operations platforms.
• Design and develop reusable services supporting retrieval augmented generation, prompt lifecycle management, vector search, AI gateways, inference APIs, and agentic AI capabilities.
• Implement model deployment, monitoring, version management, evaluation frameworks, and governance controls.
• Enable application development teams through DevOps coaching, platform enablement, and developer experience best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies through proof of concepts and promote automation, innovation, and platform improvements.
• Partner with cross functional teams to establish enterprise standards and best practices for AI platform engineering.
• Drive reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence across the AI platform ecosystem.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of overall technology experience.
• Strong software development lifecycle knowledge with excellent system design, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
• 2+ years of software development experience using Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or C/C++.
• Hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Experience building or supporting enterprise AI, Generative AI, machine learning, or distributed computing platforms.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of platform architecture, automation, and infrastructure as code principles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
