This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program.What You'll Get To Do:Develop Payload models to simulate and evaluate hardware performancePerform model validation of various Payloads through test and analysisParticipate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for missile system payloadsPerform analysis to support derivation of lower level requirementsVerify Payload specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysisGenerate Threat ModelsGenerate and analyze radar and optical signatures of payload objectsAnalyze exo and endo-atmospheric trajectoriesGenerate discrimination algorithmsReview test plans and support testing to ensure proper data objectives are met to validate modelsCreate analysis documents, verification and validation(V&V) plans, and V&V reportsPresent analysis results to both internal and external stakeholdersBasic Qualifications:This requisition may be filled at either the Associate Systems Engineer level (T01) or Systems Engineer level (T02).Associate Systems Engineer (T01):Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 1 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master of Science degreeSystems Engineer (T02):Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related experience; 0 years of experience with a Master of Science degreeRequirements for both levels:Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needExperience or coursework related to electromagnetic radiation (optical, infrared, radar)Experience or coursework modeling systems with coding languages (Python, Matlab, C++, etc.)Experience or coursework related to kinematicsPreferred QualificationsActive U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needBachelors or Masters degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering1 year of experience with electromagnetic radiation (optical, infrared, radar)1 year of experience modeling complex physical systems with coding languages (Python, Matlab, C++, etc.)1 year of experience modeling kinematics1 year of experience with applications of machine learning modelsPosition BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee DiscountsThis position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
