Job Summary The Certified Medical Assistant administers and performs triage and direct care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the RN/Nurse Manager. This includes functions such as height/weight and vital signs, updating medical records, and assisting clinicians with exams. The Medical Assistant ensures a smooth flow of patients through the office by providing efficient basic care, performs routine administrative and clinical tasks, and provides secretarial support for the office, assisting front desk operations with clerical tasks, checking patients in and out, filing, copying, answering the phone, and related duties. High School Diploma – OR – GED – OR – Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program Experience Pediatrics experience preferred 1+ year of experience Certification and Licensure BLS Certification Current Medical Assistant Certification awarded through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NAHP or NHA. Other certifications require THMG Leadership Approval.
