Community Outreach Specialist

Job Summary This role will function hybrid between a physicians liaison and a marketing position, focusing on building relationships to drive referral volume. The individual will also represent the hospital at community events, coordinate earned media opportunities and support the development of local social media content and marketing materials. Key Responsibilities (On-site position, 3 days per week) Relationship Development & Referral Growth Build and maintain strong relationships with physician offices and EMS providersConduct regular outreach visits to referral sources to support service line growth (ER, specialty services, etc.)Identify opportunities to increase patient referrals and communicate feedback from the field to leadership Community Outreach & Events Represent the hospital at community events, health fairs, and local organizationsCoordinate and staff outreach initiatives (screenings, educational programs, sponsorship events)Identify new opportunities to increase community presence and engagement Marketing & Communications Support Assist with development of social media content aligned with service line prioritiesSupport creation and distribution of marketing materials (flyers, rack cards, presentations)Ensure brand consistency and appropriate messaging across materials Media & Public Relations Assist in identifying and coordinating earned media opportunities (local press, community stories)Support media outreach by gathering information, coordinating interviews, and assisting with story developmentHelp identify compelling patient stories and community impact opportunities Internal Coordination Work closely with marketing leadership to align outreach efforts with strategic prioritiesCollaborate with hospital leadership and service line directors to support growth initiativesTrack outreach activities and provide regular updates on engagement and opportunities
