RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 07:00-19:30
• Weekend requirement: 6 shifts in 6 weeks, every other weekend
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• 24-hour weekly orientation provided
• 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• Adult MS telemetry only - travelers are not expected to care for pediatric patients
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (PALS not required)
• Must have either compact license or MD license
• Two supervisory references required, including one from most recent assignment
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, accessing/managing ports, central line care, chest tubes, blood product administration, wound care, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Care for patients with diabetes, CHF, infections, sepsis, COPD, general surgery cases, and post-operative orthopedic and bariatric patients
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 34-room, 44-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 32 patients. The facility features a large orthopedic program including total joint replacements, along with colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery services. The unit is equipped with modern technology including patient lifts, PCA pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, and capnography equipment, providing comprehensive care for medical and surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
