Day Camp Counselor (C/S)

DAY CAMP COUNSELOR

This casual position with the Parks & Recreation Department is on an as‑needed basis and reports to the Day Camp Coordinator. Responsibilities include planning, leading, supervising, and cleaning up for a variety of theme‑based sports, games, crafts, science, and nature activities. Requirements include effective and accurate communication skills, responsibility, the ability to work in a high‑stress environment, to work with children ages 6 to 12, and to work well with others. Minimum qualifications: valid Florida Driver’s License, current CPR certification, and knowledge of principles and methods of recreation programming. Salary: $15.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
