Registered Nurse (RN)Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.Join a critical access hospital providing care to patients with varied acuity levels. The patient caseload is a maximum of two patients with remote monitoring capabilities. Ratios may vary.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Previous acute care experience preferred. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Experience with charting systems, specifically Cerner, is mandatory. Prior charge experience is preferred.The nursing unit accommodates adults and geriatric patients, with a daily census of approximately 10. The unit is equipped with 18 beds and provides care for patients recovering with an anticipated discharge within 21 days or less.Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders. Monitor and assess patient conditions using telemetry and remote monitoring. Provide support for patients undergoing rehabilitation. Implement isolation precautions and manage various medical procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services.Proficient in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and IV protocols. Experience with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), insulin management, and patient isolation procedures. Skilled in peripheral and central line management, including PICC line care. Ability to handle substance withdrawal and provide comprehensive patient care.This position requires working every third to fourth weekend and is suitable for first-time travelers. Local candidates will be considered at the same rate.New hires will undergo a comprehensive orientation, including a series of mandatory modules (approximately 4 hours) that are completed during the onboarding process. A valid nursing license in Tennessee or a compact license is required. References may be requested during the application process.
