Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: Jacksonville, TX 75766
Shift: Days, 5x8 — 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
Duration: 13 weeks

 

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of OR/RN experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel experience preferred, not required
• ACLS and BLS required
• Experience with General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Thoracic, and Laparoscopic procedures
• Experience with specimen handling/labeling, blood administration, infection control, wound management, and Universal Protocol/Time-Out
• Knowledge of laser and radiation safety
• Experience with surgical instrumentation/equipment and Cell Saver
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Description:

• Provide perioperative nursing care across General, Ortho, OB/GYN, GI, Colorectal, ENT, and Pain procedures.
• Support surgical cases including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy .
• Maintain patient safety and surgical standards through infection control, specimen handling, blood product administration, time-out procedures, laser/radiation safety, and wound management .
