Math and Science Teacher (Grades 5-6)

This position is for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Jumoke Academy seeks a motivated and innovative Middle School Certified Math and Science teacher to teach 5th and 6th grades, who are committed to excellence for every child and will accept nothing less. These teachers are highly motivated and mission‑driven, sweat the small stuff without losing sight of the big picture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of: Driving for results Using data to drive and inform instruction Inspiring, engaging, and empowering students and families Establishing and maintaining a culture of high expectations Building effective relationships with students, families, and peers Ensuring fidelity to curriculum, instructional excellence, and best practices in assessment Qualifications Certification/License: Appropriate CT State Certification in Math & Science Education: An accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree Experience: At least three years of teaching experience at the intermediate elementary and middle school level. Supervisor School Principal Terms of Employment and Work Schedule Ten‑month work year. Standard teacher work schedule, including attendance at professional development, open houses, parent conferences, and staff meetings as needed. Benefits This is a full‑time position with benefits.
