Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Progressive Care Unit specializing in stroke and neuro patients, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• 19-bed telemetry unit specializing in neurology and medical cardiology patients
• Supports a Comprehensive Stroke Care Program with patients admitted from the ED, ICU, or as direct admits
• Third shift schedule, 3x12s from 7p-7a
• Weekends and holidays required as needed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• Current BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• NIHSS certification required within 3 months of hire
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• No prior experience required, though stroke/neuro experience preferred
• Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for stroke and cardiac telemetry patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities with patient and family-centered education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately to other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
