FirstHealth of the Carolinas a private, not-for-profit healthcare network serving the mid-Carolinas is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide coverage at our Convenient Care Clinics.

Responsibilities

• Dependable schedule three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Our 9 locations are open 8am 8pm (closed on 4 recognized holidays).
• All locations are within 1 hour of Pinehurst, NC.
• Epic EMR.
• Imaging and diagnostic testing on-site.
• Perform all urgent care procedures.
• Well-coordinated process with system EDs for transfer of acute care needs.
• Strong partnership between physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Be a member of the FirstHealth Physician Group, a team of 450+ hospital-employed providers.

Qualifications

• PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
• NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience treating all ages in an urgent care/Emergency Medicine setting is required, 3+ years of experience is highly desired.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision making.
• Clean background, unrestricted NC PA/NP license, NC DEA, AHA BLS certification, and DOT certification required.
