Network Engineer

Job Description

A customer of Insight Global is looking to hire a Network Engineer to come onboard!

This person will support the organization’s enterprise network by designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex networking solutions across both on-prem and cloud-connected environments. The role will focus heavily on routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network performance optimization, while also helping maintain secure configurations and technical documentation. This individual will operate as an independent contributor and will be the first engineer supporting the India team, partnering cross-functionally with infrastructure and cloud stakeholders in a high-ownership environment. Strong communication is important, as this person will work across teams, support incidents and upgrades.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of network engineering experience

• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies

• Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls, load balancers (F5, A10), and cloud networks

• Expert understanding of core networking technologies including BGP, EIGRP, and Cisco routing and switching infrastructure (IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS/ACI)

• Strong diagnostic and log analysis skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment

• Effective communicator with cross-functional teams

• Documentation and procedural development experience

• CCNA , CCNP certifications
