Job Title and Location Quality Assurance Inspector (Manufacturing) | Direct Hire Opportunity Location: Lancaster, SC Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour | Multiple Shifts Available Shifts : 2nd Shift: 3:15 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Thursday; 3:15 PM – 10:15 PM on Friday 3rd Shift: 11:15 PM – 7:15 AM, Sunday–Thursday Overview Staffmark is hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector (Manufacturing) to support production quality, documentation accuracy, and compliance standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality products and collaborating with the production team. Responsibilities Provide quality assurance support throughout daily manufacturing and packaging operations. Maintain a consistent presence on the production floor to support quality standards and production activities. Perform in-process inspections to verify products meet quality, safety, and compliance requirements. Review production documentation, batch records, and manufacturing paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Conduct room clearances and release cleaned equipment, rooms, and production areas. Issue labels and printed production materials according to manufacturing schedules. Identify and document minor and major errors, deficiencies, and quality concerns. Support investigations related to production deviations and quality issues. Review environmental monitoring and pest control documentation. Assist with daily operations within the Quality Assurance Hold area. Provide input and support for updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Complete detailed end-of-shift reports outlining activities, issues identified, and actions taken. Communicate effectively with Manufacturing, Packaging, Quality Control, Supply Chain, Product Development, Safety, and other departments. Follow all cGMP requirements, safety procedures, and company quality standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support business goals. Qualifications Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of 2 years of quality assurance experience in pharmaceutical, food, or dietary supplement manufacturing, or another regulated industry is preferred. Experience working in a cGMP-regulated environment preferred. Auditing, inspection, or troubleshooting experience is a plus. Experience + Skills Requirements A minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, food, or dietary supplement manufacturing, or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred. Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing inspection, or production quality is preferred. Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) preferred. Experience reviewing batch records, production documentation, and quality paperwork. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and quality concerns. Experience with audits, investigations, troubleshooting, or corrective actions is a plus. Ability to interpret and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and written instructions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet production goals. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing, packaging, quality, and support teams. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic. Physical Capabilities Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequently bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive movements. Maintain a consistent presence on the manufacturing floor. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Work safely in a regulated manufacturing environment. Read and verify production documents, labels, and quality records accurately. Move throughout production areas while monitoring processes and equipment.
