CNC Programmer

Role Description The CNC Programmer is a full-time, on-site role located in Curtis Bay, MD. This role is responsible for developing, reviewing, and optimizing CNC programs for milling and machining operations to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings and models, selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies, setting up programs for various CNC machines, and collaborating with machinists to ensure efficient, accurate production. The CNC Programmer will troubleshoot programs, adjust feeds and speeds, refine machining processes for quality and throughput, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. The role also involves working closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet project timelines and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC Programming and Programming skills for multi-axis milling and machining centers.
• Proficiency in Machining and Milling operations, including tool selection, workholding, and process optimization.
• Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawing, blueprints, and CAD models with high accuracy.
• Experience with CNC programming software (e.g., Mastercam) and basic CAD/CAM tools.
• Solid understanding of tolerance, GD&T, and quality inspection practices in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.
