Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care and manage intake and discharge processes for patients in the Wound Care Center under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. The RN may also serve as a case manager, provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and perform documentation support as required. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handle patient intake and discharge processes according to hospital and nursing standards. Assist in the vein clinic after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training. Serve as Case Manager for a group of assigned patients, performing initial nursing assessments, communicating findings with the physician, assessing wound stage and measurements, documenting care plans, evaluating outcomes, and identifying situations that require intervention. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide patient and caregiver education, and advocate for patient care delivery and coordination. Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties upon completion of Healogics hyperbaric training. May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training. Collaborate with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs. Function as Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy. Perform other duties as required. Required Education, Experience and Credentials Degree in Nursing (ADN) with current RN license in the state of practice (to be maintained throughout employment). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred. Wound care experience preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support). Demonstrated organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills. Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations. Strong interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills, including presentation and ability to translate technical terms for laypeople. Customer service and follow‑up skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Teaching skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work with others in a team environment.Ability to remain calm in all situations. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems. Physical Demands Stationary position for extended periods (≥ 4 hours). Repetitive motions. Movement, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping.
