Senior Purchasing Lead

Danaher seeks a Senior Purchasing Lead in Indianapolis to manage supplier relationships and optimize supply chain performance. The role involves monitoring supplier delivery metrics, handling escalations, negotiating terms, and collaborating with internal teams on demand forecasting and inventory management. Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of business experience and demonstrate proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Monitor and improve supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery through ongoing optimization
Handle and resolve delivery and part escalations from site buyers
Negotiate purchase order liability terms with suppliers
Provide demand forecasts to suppliers in coordination with capacity planning team
Collaborate with tactical buyers, production planning, and value stream teams to ensure timely customer delivery

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years business experience, or Master's with 3+ years, or Doctoral degree
Strong organizational, communication, and operational process management skills
Proven supplier management experience
Data analysis and interpretation using PowerBI or similar tools
Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and ability to learn new software quickly
