Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in related field as required by individual clients.
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required.
• In licensure states, laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty for the department or location assignment as applicable to the state.
• 1 year of experience as a CLS / MLS / Medical Technologist.
• BLS certification.
• Meditech experience required (client-specific requirement).
• Required certifications must be completed prior to start (client requirement).
• Consent to on-site random drug screening and completion of a criminal questionnaire/consent form required (client requirement).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in acute-care hospital laboratory settings.
• Experience with cardiac, oncology, or emergency laboratory support.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays (local orientation schedule provided by client).
