Our client, a growing food manufacturing company, is seeking a Purchasing Administrator to support day-to-day procurement activities and help ensure the timely availability of raw materials, packaging, supplies, and other materials needed for production. This role will work closely with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Operations teams to maintain accurate purchasing records and support an efficient supply chain.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Administrator to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This full-time, permanent role will play a crucial part in our procurement department, ensuring that all purchasing activities are carried out efficiently and in line with our company's financial objectives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in purchasing, a strong understanding of CMMS reports, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee all purchasing activities, including the acquisition of materials, supplies, and services, ensuring they meet the company's quality and cost objectives.
2. Generate, review, and maintain CMMS reports to track purchasing trends, cost analysis, and inventory levels.
3. Perform data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all purchasing data in our system.
4. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all purchasing activities to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
5. Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and maintain strong, positive relationships.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast future procurement needs and plan accordingly.
7. Regularly review supplier performance and implement improvement strategies as needed.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures.
9. Resolve any invoice discrepancies or issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in generating and interpreting CMMS reports.
3. Strong data entry skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
4. A thorough understanding and demonstrated adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
5. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret purchasing data and make informed decisions.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
