ResponsibilitiesPeraton is delivering advanced mission planning, digital engineering, and command‑and‑control capabilities supporting the U.S. Government’s space communications enterprise. Our team uses modern MBSE practices to translate mission needs into precise, traceable, and verifiable technical requirements across a complex, multi‑system environment.As a Digital Engineer / MBSE Analyst, you will support the technical planning, development, and integration of digital‑twin capabilities that advance program goals and mission outcomes. You will help shape concepts, architectures, and model‑based engineering artifacts that ensure digital‑twin solutions are aligned, interoperable, and technically sound across the broader system landscape.This position may be supported from any of the following locations: Colorado Springs, CO; Arlington, VA; or Seal Beach, CA.What you’ll do:Help lead technical planning and execution of digital‑twin efforts in support of program objectives.Support the development of digital‑twin concepts, architectures, use cases, and technical roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and program teams.Assist in adapting Peraton Labs’ agentic AI and digital‑twin capabilities to meet program‑specific needs.Define component‑level requirements derived from operational needs, systems‑engineering objectives, system behaviors, and stakeholder priorities.Ensure compliance with model‑interoperability approaches, data‑exchange patterns, fidelity expectations, and integration guidance across digital‑twin and simulation environments.Work with data, AI/ML, software, and systems‑engineering teams to identify and integrate required data sources, dependencies, model inputs and outputs, assumptions, and validation methods.Identify technical risks, dependencies, sequencing concerns, integration challenges, and capability gaps associated with digital‑twin development.Ensure digital‑twin efforts remain aligned with program objectives, Model‑Based Systems Engineering practices, CTO advanced‑analytics initiatives, and stakeholder needs.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Associates degree and 7+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering related field; OR bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field and 5+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering related field; OR a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field and 3+ years of experience in a systems engineering related field. Additional four (4) years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degreeThis position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
