This role actively partners with operations teams to perform risk assessments, lead safety audits, and help drive a strong safety culture through training, communication, and continuous improvement. Essential Skills Experience with OSHA standards and practical application of OSHA requirements in an industrial environment. Hands-on experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing processes and how they relate to environmental, health, and safety risks. Experience with EHS compliance activities, including auditing critical equipment and high-risk tasks. Familiarity with ISO standards and EHS-related ISO audit practices. Ability to participate in root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of incidents and nonconformities. Understanding of electrical safety principles and safe work practices. Experience supporting ergonomics assessments and improvements in industrial environments. Strong troubleshooting skills to identify safety issues and propose effective corrective actions. Ability to support compliance auditing and assist with correcting deficiencies identified during inspections. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 10 Certification is preferred and considered an asset. ISO audit experience, particularly related to EHS or quality management systems. Experience with EHS Toolbox Talks, Safety Alerts, and safety communication activities. Exposure to auditing or controlling high-risk activities such as work at heights, confined space entry, electrical work, and hot work. Experience working within a stable, growth-oriented industrial or manufacturing organization. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shreveport, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
