Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $3,480 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Scrubbing and circulating basic, intermediate, and advanced IR procedures using Client and Siemens Imaging equipment. NIR experience preferred. Performing a range of General IR cases including kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central line/piccs/ports, fistulograms, IVC filter, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, thoras/paras, cryos, CT biopsies, drains, and AAA interventions. Providing Neuro IR support (strokes, embolization, DSA, WADA test, spinal angios) for RN; RT requires manager approval if lacking Neuro experience. Monitoring patient safety, sedation, and charting for RN; perform simultaneous scrubbing and panning for RT(R) and manage charging/coding for procedures when possible. Supporting a unit staffed 24/7 with 5 rooms, two technologists per room (up to three on complex cases). Managing call rotations: weekday call (Monday‑Thursday) typically 1 shift per week; weekend call (Friday‑Sunday) once every 5‑6th weekend. Responding to on‑call requests within 30 minutes. Participating in orientation with a preceptor for 1‑2 weeks. Handling passenger logistics: parking free in the parking structure with badge access. Qualifications RN: BLS and ACLS certifications; experience with specified IR procedures; waiver of anesthesia for sedation. RT(R): ARRT certification, BLS, Wisconsin license; expertise in General IR cases and comfort with simultaneous scrubbing and panning. Certification in EMR (EPIC) preferred for RNs. COVID‑19 vaccination required. Experience: 1‑year experience for RN and RT acceptable; first‑time travelers with IR experience for RN and RT acceptable with manager approval. Technical familiarity: Siemens and Client imaging equipment, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Change Healthcare PACS; optional use of IVUS, Ultrasound, Laser, Bovie, Angiojet. Unit Support & Equipment Receptionist/HUC coordinators: two. Lead Technologist: two leads. Respiratory Therapy, Hospitalist, and CNA/Transporter support available 24/7. Equipment: MedRad injector; additional instruments optional. Schedule and Call On‑call windows: General IR 0700‑1530 weekdays, 0730‑1600 weekends; Neuro 0730‑1600 weekdays, 0700‑1530 weekends. Shift length typically 10 hours; alternation to 8 or 12 hour shifts possible at manager discretion. RTO approval available up to 7 days. Holiday expectations: none currently, subject to change.
