Body Shop Technician

Job Description

Gates Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team in Granger, IN. In this role, you will play a key part in restoring vehicles to their original condition by performing precise body repairs and refinishing work. You will work closely with the team to ensure high-quality repairs and excellent customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Perform body work and repairs on damaged vehicles including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
Communicate supplemental damage with service advisors
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
Use computerized measuring systems and other equipment to ensure accuracy in repairs
Collaborate with insurance adjusters and other departments as needed

Requirements

Proven experience as a Body Shop Technician or similar role
Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and bodywork techniques
Ability to operate body shop equipment and tools safely and effectively
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
