Freelance Copywriter, B2B

THE ROLE

We’re looking for self-starters, makers, doers, and creative visionaries to dream up disruptive and groundbreaking marketing. We’re seeking a Freelance Copywriter with B2B experience to support our team on social-first creative projects. The ideal candidate is obsessed with culture, language, and insights, with a passion for making B2B brands stand out on social. You know that business audiences are people first, and you’re excited to turn complex products, services, and industry conversations into creative that’s engaging, unexpected, and easy to understand. This person has experience developing concepts and writing copy for B2B brands at a creative agency. You’ll partner with art directors, strategists, and content creators to bring ideas to life across organic brand channels, social campaigns, video, and more. You bring strong writing craft, a fresh perspective, and the ability to jump into a brief, collaborate with an established team, and deliver great work at the speed of social.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ideate, concept, and write thumb-stopping content and campaigns for B2B clients, working alongside your creative, strategy, and account teams. Translate complex business offerings and audience insights into clear, compelling ideas and copy that build brand awareness and spark engagement. Develop headlines, captions, scripts, and presentation materials that bring creative ideas to life. Create and adapt brand voice for always-on social content and campaign projects, balancing consistency with opportunities to push the creative. Find fresh ways for B2B brands to show up on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms through relevant storytelling and platform-native creative. Partner with art directors to ensure messaging and visuals work together to deliver a strong, cohesive idea. Collaborate with creators, editors, and production partners to carry the intended story, tone, and messaging through execution. Present creative ideas to internal teams and clients, explaining how the work connects to the brief, audience, and platform. Deliver assigned projects from concept through final execution, incorporating feedback and maintaining craft within agreed timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

3–5 years of copywriting experience at creative advertising agencies. Demonstrated experience creating content and campaigns for B2B brands, with relevant work in your portfolio. A strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking, brand voice, and writing across social and digital channels. Experience translating complex products, services, or technical subjects into accessible, engaging copy. Strong writing fundamentals, including clarity, tone, structure, grammar, and attention to detail, with an ability to write concise headlines and compelling video scripts. Understanding of social storytelling formats and how copy should adapt across LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. Ability to write in distinct brand voices and balance creativity with accuracy when communicating business offerings and product claims. Experience taking projects from concept through delivery and collaborating with art directors, strategists, and production teams. Confidence presenting creative decisions and responding thoughtfully to feedback. Ability to get up to speed quickly, work independently, and manage deliverables within agreed project timelines.
