Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery/Same Day Surgery position requiring CA RN licensure and endoscopy experience.

Details

Fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy department
Cares for pre-op open heart and total joint replacement patients
Comfortable with pre-op and PACU phase II workflows
Moderate sedation experience and rapid patient turnover a plus
Day shift, 4x10s, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off
Start times vary between 5:30am and 11:00am based on case volume

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
Endoscopy experience required
Outpatient surgery and perioperative experience strongly preferred
BSN and acute care facility experience preferred
EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

Delivers coordinated nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients
Supervises and directs nursing staff while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team
Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning for continuity of care
Delegates and coordinates duties among healthcare team members
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
Candidates with a prior license disciplinary action will not be considered
Local candidates accepted; local pay rates are the same as travel rates
