Job Summary:

Provide advanced respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting, ensuring optimal respiratory function and adherence to clinical protocols. Collaborate with medical staff to deliver quality patient care and maintain compliance with licensing and certification standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer respiratory treatments and therapies based on physician orders and patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, adjusting interventions as necessary.
  
  
• 
  Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatment plans.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current Massachusetts Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 3 years of current RRT experience.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system preferred.
  
  
• 
  Active NBRC certification and AHA BLS certification required.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and follow protocols accurately.
