Salary Range: $52,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Charlotte that are seeking skilled Field Service Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all field service operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex technical problems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance) or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery or automation equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, calipers, and other relevant hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently to customer sites.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Certifications in specialized areas like robotics, PLCs, or advanced automation.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order management and reporting.
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams using CAD software.
