Controls EngineerWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about industrial automation and control systems, with a strong focus on PLCs, HMIs, and a working knowledge of robot programming. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge industrial automation projects across various sectors, providing solutions that drive innovation and efficiency.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Perform higher level programming for interfacing with databases for data logging and machine recipe selection and modificationCollaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineering to deliver fully integrated automation systemsDevelop control system documentation, including I/O lists, system layouts, and technical manuals.Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and support of control systems and automation equipment.Travel up to 25% for equipment installation, commissioning, and customer supportCapture and document all changes and modifications throughout the course of a project.Qualification Requirements:BS degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or computer engineering5+ years of experience in creating and testing PLC / HMI and Motion applications. An associate degree with 7+ years of experience will also be considered.Experience with programming Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC's and HMI's & machine motion controlExperience with programming of Fanuc and Kuka robotics is highly desired.Experience with Python, C, C++, VB.net, and VBA is highly desired.Experience with FTView, Wonderware, iFix, Ignition, and other HMI/Scada softwareKnowledgeable of AutoCAD and AutoCAD ElectricalExperience doing machine startups at customer job sites.Must be willing to work in fast paced environment with tight timelinesMust be able to establish a good working relationship with LSI vendors and customersMust be able to shift priorities and multitask as neededExperience handling multiple projectsCommunication Skills:Ability to respond to common inquiries from vendors and customers.Ability to effectively present information to Engineering Manager and top managementPay: DOE Located in Randleman NC
