The Certified Medical Assistant supports a physician in a small team setting by providing both administrative and routine clinical assistance. This role focuses on patient preparation, managing medical records, and performing vital clinical tasks to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Manage and update medical records efficiently
• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory samples
• Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars
• Assist with clinical procedures and support physicians directly

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical assisting

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or experience
• Proficiency in patient scheduling and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and medical terminology
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance regulations
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a small team environment
