Quality Inspector

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality assurance, inspection, and control in our food manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment and facilities based on the assigned shift.
• Perform environmental sampling of equipment, drains, and raw and finished products.
• Calibrate thermometers and scales daily.
• Monitor sanitation standard operating procedures and document SSOPs according to the company's program.
• Monitor and document the quality of packaging, raw materials, and finished products.
• Oversee foreign material detection and rejection.
• Record weights of finished products and take temperatures of raw and finished products.
• Monitor physical, chemical, and sensory characteristics of raw and finished products.
• Generate and complete required records and documentation daily for each product line per customer specifications.
• Perform HACCP monitoring and verification for all critical control points of the company's HACCP programs.
• Collaborate with USDA and production employees.
• Ensure food security and safety.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma with specialized training in food safety principles and HACCP.
• Three to five years of experience in quality assurance in a food processing environment.
• Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to read and analyze process charts, graphs, and logs.
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
• HACCP certification or the ability to become HACCP certified.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills at both technical and general levels.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills are a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled, with shifts starting at 5 am and concluding upon task completion from Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required if production demands.

This is a Contract position based out of Forest Park, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
