Job Description

A growing residential construction organization in the Richmond area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-impact residential projects, including additional dwelling units (ADUs), new home construction, and renovation initiatives . Key Responsibilities

Oversee residential construction projects from pre-construction through final completion
Manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, and internal resources across multiple active projects
Lead projects involving ADUs, home additions, renovations, and ground-up residential builds
Ensure compliance with local building codes, permitting requirements, and safety regulations
Identify project risks proactively and implement solutions to maintain timelines and profitability
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality standards, and field coordination
Communicate project updates effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
5+ years of project management experience within residential or commercial construction
Demonstrated success managing multiple complex construction projects simultaneously
Strong background in new construction, renovations, and/or residential additions
Experience with project management software such as Procore, Yardi, Buildertrend, or similar
PMP, CCM, or related project management certification preferred
Exceptional leadership, organization, and communication skills
