If that sounds like the kind of place you've been looking for, we invite you to join us!Benefits:Paid Time Off (PTO)401k Employer MatchBonus IncentivesExtensive Training & Career Development ProgramsTuition Reimbursement ProgramMedical, Dental and Vision plansEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)And more!Pay Details: $30.00 - $85.00 per hourResponsibilities & Expectations:Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage (to 500kV) electrical systems, and moderately complex relay calibration and power metering.Instrument transformer testsPower transformer testing - Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.Test both electro-mechanical and solid state relaysCable testing - Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC HipotAutomatic transfer switch troubleshootingLow, Medium and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testingRotate emergency on-call duty and if called respond to customer emergencies in a timely mannerStrong verbal and written communication skillsMust have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving recordAbility to travel locally and overnightAbility to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as required, willingness to be on callWork safely alone and as part of a teamClosely adhere to all electrical safety proceduresEffectively contributes to a strong team environment through assisting teammates in accomplishing mutual goalsQualifications and Competencies:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power, or similar experience/training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee) preferredMust have at least 5 or more years of relevant experienceNETA Certification (III or IV) highly preferred or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA CertifiedPrefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED trainingMust have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 75 lbs. in weightMust be able to pass a fit for duty physical examAbility to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of timeAbility to perform manual labor for up to 12 or more hours per dayAcute hearing and strong field of visionAbility to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditionsYou’ll thrive at IPS if you…Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
